1. WHAT IS FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT TOOTHPASTE AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

This medication is recommended to prevent tooth decay. You should consult your doctor if you do not notice any improvement or if you feel worse.
2. WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD YOU KNOW BEFORE USING FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT toothpaste?
Never use FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT toothpaste:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sodium fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate, or any of the other ingredients in this medication listed in Section 6.
Warnings and Precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT toothpaste.
· The topical use of fluoride toothpaste or fluoride mouthwash is perfectly compatible with systemic fluoride intake; it enhances protection against tooth decay.
· However, an increase in the number of potential sources of fluoride may lead to fluorosis. To avoid cumulative exposure, it is essential to conduct a personalized assessment of fluoride intake (tap and mineral water, fluoridated salt, medications in the form of tablets, drops, chewing gum, or fluoride toothpaste) before prescribing any fluoride-containing products.
· In overall calculations of the recommended fluoride ion intake (0.05 mg of fluoride/kg/day for all fluoride sources combined, not to exceed 1 mg/day), one must take into account the potential amounts of toothpaste ingested (60 to 30% among children aged 3 to 7), which will vary depending on age and the concentration of the toothpaste used.
· Children under 6 years of age should use toothpastes with a fluoride content of 500 ppm or less (50 mg/100 g). The amount to be used should be about the size of a pea, and children must be sure to spit out the toothpaste.
· This medication contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and may cause allergic reactions.
· Due to the presence of sodium benzoate (E211), this product may cause irritation of the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.
Children aged 6 and older may use toothpastes containing 1,000 to 1,500 ppm (100 to 150 mg/100 g).
Check the fluoride content on the toothpaste label.
For good oral health, it is important for your child to see a dentist regularly.

For oral use. Do not swallow.
For adults and children over 10 years of age, it is recommended to brush thoroughly three times a day, after each meal, using vertical strokes from the gum line toward the tip of the tooth.
Thorough brushing takes about 3 minutes.

This toothpaste is available in paste and gel forms. In addition to the usual ingredients found in toothpaste, it contains a significant amount of fluoride; this substance enhances the effectiveness of brushing on the teeth. Fluoride is incorporated into the enamel to a limited extent and combats fermentation in dental plaque; it thus protects the teeth from the enzymes and acids secreted by bacteria.
It is used in the preventive treatment of dental caries.

This toothpaste may be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
The toothpaste’s action merely complements the fundamental action of brushing your teeth. Proper brushing takes 2 to 3 minutes and should cover the surfaces of the teeth and their sides.
