How to use this fixative cream

Applying Polident fixative cream

  1. Clean and dry your appliance.
  2. Apply Polident Original cream in short strips, moving away from the edges.

  4. Replace the appliance, holding it firmly in place, and bite down for a few seconds to secure.

Removing braces and cleaning with Polident

  1. Rinse your mouth with water.
  2. Gently remove the appliance using a back-and-forth motion.
  3. Remove any cream residue from your appliance and mouth with lukewarm water and a soft brush.
  4. Clean the appliance thoroughly with Polident cleaning tablets every day and rinse with water.

When using for the first time, start with a small amount of Polident Original cream. Increase the amount if necessary. Too much cream can cause spillage, so reduce the dose if this happens. Finding the right amount may take some time. Use once a day. If you need to apply more frequently, ask your dentist for advice.

What are the precautions for use?

  • To remove, rinse mouth with water.
  • Use a back-and-forth motion to loosen the dental appliance.
  • Rinse off any excess cream from the appliance and gums with lukewarm water.
  • Do not ingest. Use once a day.
  • Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. In case of allergic reaction, discontinue use.
  • Keep cap and mouthpiece dry to prevent clogging.
  • Some people may be allergic to this product. In case of allergic reaction or discomfort, discontinue use immediately.
  • When used as directed, small amounts of cream may be ingested, but this is not harmful.
