The main types of muscle pain
Cramp results in functional impotence: the muscle or muscle group concerned can no longer function normally and play its role.
Sore muscles are common after heavy, unusual exertion. They appear within 2 days of exertion.
These muscular aches and pains are not serious, and heal on their own within a week or so: curing aches and pains is relatively easy.
Stretching is a sudden lengthening of the muscle that causes severe, instant pain. They can occur during violent effort, after a blow or when cold. The pain is localized when hot, but can become diffuse later on, being imperceptible at rest. To treat a strain, rest is imperative: the length of time varies according to the extent of the strain.
Contractures can lead to tearing if, despite the pain, the muscle continues to exert itself. To treat a contracture, you need to stop and rest.

Our orthopaedic pharmacist's advice
Treating traumatic, joint, tendon and arthritic pain
Trauma, joint, tendon and arthritic pain (contusion, blow, shock, stretch, sprain, tendinitis, dislocation, arthritis) is treated in 3 stages:
1/ Cryotherapy 3 times a day with Therm cool cold sprayor Thera-pearl cold pack (apply for 15 to 20 minutes).
2/ Relieve pain and inflammation with Therm-cool pain-relieving gel, applied by massaging lightly without penetrating.
3/ Maintain and immobilize with a splint, orthosis, ankle brace, knee brace, etc.
These pathologies are characterized by pain, edema, swelling, hematoma and inflammation.
Cold therapy, applied as soon as possible after trauma, has a vasoconstrictive effect that inhibits pain (analgesic), reduces effusion (anti-inflammatory), decreases swelling (anti-oedematous), and reduces bleeding (anti-hemorrhagic).
Combating muscular pain, osteoarthritis
Treatment of muscular pain, osteoarthritis (backache, lumbago, osteoarthritis, contractures, muscle soreness) is a 3-step process:
1/ Apply heat with neuriplege activ. heating patches or Thera-pearl heat pack (apply for 15 to 20 minutes).
2/ Relieve pain and promote relaxation and recovery with Nociceptol anti-pain gel, applied by massaging lightly without penetrating.
3/ Support with a lumbar belt, neck brace or cervical collar.
These diseases can be identified by the presence of pain-stiffness and mobility problems.
Heat therapy improves mobility, reduces the pain message (analgesic), promotes muscle relaxation and reduces contractures and aches.
