MYCOAPAISYL 1% CREAM TUBE 30G is a topical cream containing an antifungal agent of the imidazole family. It is recommended for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain skin conditions caused by fungi (mycoses).

MycoApaisyl is a topical antifungal cream for the treatment of mycoses (diseases caused by microscopic fungi) of the skin, nails and mucous membranes, such as candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, dermatophytes...

Mycosis is a widespread and disabling pathology. Fungi or yeasts colonize the skin, nails or internal or external mucous membranes. Fungus can manifest itself in many different ways, depending on where it is found: while some take pride of place in highly visible areas, others hide away, sometimes even in the privacy of our own homes. It's not a serious disease, but it can be contagious. Let's go fungus hunting!

Advice from your pharmacist on skin mycosis transmission

How to treat skin mycosis

The treatment for cutaneous mycosis is a topical antifungal treatment. For cutaneous mycoses, it is prescribed in ointment form, such as Mycoapaisyl 1% cream, as a local antifungal agent, econazole.

How skin mycoses are transmitted

Mycoses are caused by tiny fungi, micro-organisms found everywhere. Some can grow on the surface layer of the skin, and their development is accelerated by damp heat.
The most common of these microscopic fungi is Candida albicans. It normally lives in equilibrium with the skin, but in certain circumstances it overgrows and causes symptoms. For this reason, it is often referred to as "cutaneous candidiasis" or "candidal infection".
Contagion occurs through direct contact with surfaces or objects carrying the fungus (e.g. gym floors, showers or swimming pools; hotel carpets; wooden screens in saunas).
We also know that people with circulatory problems may be more vulnerable to fungal transmission. Similarly, certain drugs that weaken the immune system are likely to promote this type of infection.
