Our opinion from pharmacy experts

Usefulness of an antiseptic eye drop
Infectious eye diseases include a number of pathologies, the severity of which varies depending on the structure of the eye that is affected and the nature of the infectious agent. Bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites can infect the eye and the tissues around it.
Obtained without a prescription, the antiseptic eye drops concerns the eyes affected by a bacterial infection causing a purulent discharge. It is the type of eye drops recommended in case of chalazion or stye, or when itchy eyes are felt. Eye drops against red eyes are recommended in case of conjunctivitis. It can be used for two or three days, but if symptoms persist, it is best to make an appointment with the ophthalmologist.

When you open an eye drop , take care to note the date of opening on the bottle, the opened bottles can not generally be kept beyond 15 (or 30) days (depending on the active ingredient ).
