This treatment is even suitable for pregnant females from the 5th week of gestation and for lactating bitches. Veloxa XL Dog Wormer's main objective is to eliminate two categories of worms: flatworms, also known as cestodes, and roundworms, known as nematodes. Here are some of the specific worms this dewormer can treat:

Flatworms (Cestodes)

1. Dipylidium caninum: This worm is commonly transmitted to dogs by fleas. It can cause anal itching and irritation in infested animals.
2. Taenia spp: Dogs can contract these worms by eating raw meat or hunting infected prey. They can cause digestive problems and weight loss.

Roundworms (Nematodes)

How to use this dewormer

These beef-flavored tablets are easy for dogs to chew. For added convenience, Veloxa XL tablets are scored. Veloxa XL chewable tablets can be fed directly into the dog's mouth or mixed with food.

Veloxa XL Dog palatable tablets are administered as a single dose at a rate of 1 tablet per 35kg of weight, according to the following dosage examples:

• Dogs from 10 to 17.5kg: 1/2 tablet
• Dogs from 17.5 to 35kg: 1 tablet
• Dogs from 35 to 52.5kg: 1.5 tablets
• Dogs from 52.5 to 70kg: 2 tablets

It's important to deworm your pet a few days before vaccinations, as intestinal worms disrupt the animal's immune system and therefore alter the efficacy of the vaccine.
If worms are present, remember to use an anti-flea treatment, as these parasites transmit worms (Dipylidium).
