What is Novalac Allernova Ar Powder used for?

Novalac Allernova AR is a dietary food for special medical purposes for infants and young children, to be used according to medical advice in cases of allergy to cow's milk proteins with or without regurgitation in infants.

Novalac Allernova Ar can be used as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months. After 6 months and on medical advice, Novalac Allernova Ar can be integrated into your child's diversified diet.

Oral nutritional supplementation for infants from birth to 6 months, based on hydrolyzed milk proteins (casein hydrolysate).

We also recommend Novalac 3 Children's milk powder 800 g, specially developed to take over from infant formulas in your child's diet from the age of 1 year.

How to use this infant milk?

As a replacement for standard milk before your child reaches 6 months of age, and as a supplement to a diversified diet from 6 months of age, on the advice of a doctor.

Dilute one level measuring spoon with 30 ml of water.

Follow medical advice on the number and frequency of feedings. From the age of 6 months, bottles are given as part of a diversified diet.

Preparing a bottle :

1. Carefully clean bottle and accessories.
2. Sterilize them by immersing in boiling water for 10 minutes, or cold-sterilize in a suitable sterilizing solution.
3. Close the bottle tightly until use. Always wash your hands thoroughly before preparing the bottle.
4. Bottle water: Use water suitable for infants, or boil pure water for 5 minutes. Pour into the bottle the recommended quantity of water, warmed to a maximum of 40°C.
5. The measuring spoon: Add the corresponding number of loosely packed measuring spoons. Use only the measuring spoon contained in the box. Do not add sugar.
6. Closing the bottle: Close the bottle and shake it circularly and vertically until the powder is completely dissolved.
7. Temperature control: Check the temperature of the milk, which should be lukewarm (37°C), by pouring a few drops onto the inside of your wrist.

Precautions for use

• After reconstitution, this preparation may be slightly thicker in the feeding bottle and may require the use of an adapted teat.
• Due to its composition, the appearance, taste and smell may vary.
• Consumption of this product may result in slightly greener, softer stools.
• In the case of cow protein allergy (CMPA), we recommend delaying the introduction of potentially allergenic foods such as eggs, fish or meat.
• Do not introduce products containing milk proteins (milk cereals, dairy products ....) without medical advice.
• Only to be used in children presenting the symptoms for which the product is intended.
• If your child was born prematurely, is underweight or immunocompromised, ask your doctor for advice on appropriate feeding.
• After opening, use within 3 weeks
• Close can tightly with plastic lid after each use
• Be careful not to let the child suckle the bottle all the time. This can lead to cavities.
• Don't hesitate to throw away unfinished bottles. All bottles must be consumed within one hour of preparation.
