What is the purpose of the Babyhaler Inhalation Chamber with Mask for Infants and Children?

The Babyhaler inhalation chamber is an essential medical device for administering metered-dose aerosol treatments to infants and young children up to 5 years of age. Designed to optimize the inhalation of respiratory medications, it ensures effective absorption by reducing product loss. It is particularly recommended for children suffering from bronchiolitis, asthma or chronic respiratory diseases.

Its valve system and soft face mask ensure comfortable, stress-free administration for toddlers. Unlike direct aerosol use, this device facilitates inhalation without the need for coordination between pressing the aerosol and inhalation, a crucial advantage for young children. Thanks to its 350 ml volume, it ensures even distribution of the medication in the chamber before inhalation.

One of the main advantages of the Babyhaler inhalation chamber is its ability to reduce particle dispersion and maximize lung absorption. When drugs are administered directly from a metered-dose inhaler, much of the product can be lost to the ambient air. Babyhaler ensures efficient diffusion and an even flow rate for better assimilation of respiratory treatment.

Blue non-return valves at the front of the chamber prevent exhaled air from flowing back into the chamber, ensuring that the child inhales only the prescribed medication. This innovative design helps improve therapeutic efficacy while limiting the risk of bronchial irritation.

Specially designed for infants and young children, Babyhaler features an ergonomic silicone mask that ensures a soft, watertight grip on the child's face. This prevents leakage and ensures optimal inhalation of the medication.

What's more, the material's transparency makes it easy to monitor the valves during use, enabling parents to check that the device is working properly at a glance. Its lightweight, ergonomic design makes it easy for parents to handle, even in emergency situations.

Three removable compartments simplify cleaning and ensure perfect hygiene. Weekly cold sterilization is recommended to ensure risk-free use. For optimum longevity, we recommend replacing the non-return valves every six months.

Its compact, lightweight format makes it easy to transport, whether for use at home or on the move. A blue storage bag is supplied for easy transport and hygienic storage.

Babyhaler is exclusively designed to work with GlaxoSmithKline metered dose inhalers (Ventoline, Flixotide, Bécotide, Seretide, Serevent), ensuring optimal compatibility and effective treatment. Its secure fastening system ensures optimum fit of the aerosol and avoids any risk of medication leakage.

In addition, if your baby is aged between 0 and 9 months, the Exacto Inhal'AIR inhalation chamber is a suitable alternative that facilitates the use of mouthpiece aerosols, while guaranteeing better lung absorption.

How to use this inhalation chamber?

Before first use, clean Babyhaler as recommended.

  1. Valve check: Check that the blue valves are working properly by pressing the mask to your mouth and observing their movement as you breathe.
  2. Preparing the metered-dose canister: Remove the canister cap and shake.
  3. Attaching the aerosol: Place the aerosol in the slot provided on Babyhaler.
  4. Drug administration: Spray a single dose into Babyhaler, place the mask over the child's face and wait 5-10 breaths.
