What is Feliway® Pheromone Cat Spray used for?

Do you have a cat who scratches your furniture, urinates all over the house or seems constantly stressed? Feliway® is the simple, effective solution to soothe these unwanted behaviors. Designed to reproduce the soothing properties of cats' natural facial pheromones, Feliway® helps your companion feel safe and comfortable in his environment.

Pheromones are natural substances that animals use to communicate. They play a crucial role in cat behavior, influencing their well-being and their interaction with their environment. The therapeutic use of pheromones, as proposed by Feliway®, is totally safe and has no side effects.

Feliway® is particularly useful in situations of stress or change. For example, in the event of a move, the arrival of a new pet or environmental changes, cats can become anxious and display problem behaviors. Thanks to Feliway®, these moments of transition are much easier for them to manage.

A stressful environment can weaken your cat's immune system, making it more vulnerable to disease. Stress can also lead to behavioral problems such as extensive alopecia (excessive grooming) and eating disorders, including anorexia or obesity. By using Feliway®, you help reduce these risks by soothing your cat and providing a more serene living environment.

Feliway® has also proved effective in reducing the clinical signs of feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC), a condition often exacerbated by stress. Studies have shown that cats exposed to Feliway® had fewer symptoms of FIC and calmer overall behavior.

Finally, Feliway® is useful for preventing infectious diseases by reducing chronic stress, which can weaken the immune system. Conditions such as Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), Feline Coronavirus (FCoV), and other viral and bacterial diseases can be better controlled with appropriate stress management using Feliway®.

In short, Feliway® is an indispensable tool for your cat's well-being. It calms, soothes and creates a safe environment for your pet. Give your cat peace of mind with Feliway®!

How to use this product

Feliway® spray is very easy to use. For scratching, apply the spray to marked areas, such as furniture legs or doorframes, at a height of around 20 cm. Repeat once a day for one month.

In the case of urine marking, spray near the marked areas after cleaning with an acid product. If the marking is present in several rooms, use a spray in each affected area.

For transport, spray into the carrier a few minutes before departure to ensure a calmer journey for your cat.
