Description of ONYSTER cream 10G PIERRE FABRE

ONYSTER is a non-prescription medical device at free price from the PIERRE FABRE laboratories recommended for the local treatment of yeast infections of the toenails and hand ( onychomycosis ).

Indication of ONYSTER cream 10G PIERRE FABRE

ONYSTER is a medical device from PIERRE FABRE laboratories in the form of an ointment and occlusive dressings . It is recommended in the local treatment of yeast infections of the foot and hand nails . The urea contained in ONYSTER degrades the attachments due to the fungus which connect the nail to its bed. This allows a selective detachment of the affected part of the nail, and therefore its elimination after cutting. Another treatment should be put in place during regrowth. This technique saves time during the treatment of onychomycosis.

Using advice and dosage of ONYSTER cream 10G PIERRE FABRE

Apply once a day to the infected nail and cover with an occlusive dressing (21 supplied) for 24 hours. Repeat the operation every day for 1 to 3 weeks depending on the thickness of the nail. When the sick part of the nail is softened and peeled off, cut it out, or have it done by a healthcare professional (recommended). Antifungal treatment should be continued during regrowth. Dermal.

Contraindication and warning

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components
  • Do not apply to damaged skin, in and around the eyes and on the mucous membranes. The dressings are for single use, do not reuse them. Do not combine with another product of local application. If you have diabetes, be careful when cutting your nails.

advice

Recognize nail fungus
Nail fungus has symptoms to pay attention to. You may notice the following:

  • Nails that become dull and lose their luster.
  • Discoloration of the tip of the nail.
  • White and yellowish spots appear in the middle of the nail.
  • A thickening of the nail or a more fragile nail.
  • A crumbling nail that can even separate from the skin.
  • Discomfort when wearing shoes, walking or standing.

It is important to act quickly if you notice any of these symptoms since an infection becomes more difficult to treat over time, sometimes taking years in extreme cases. Untreated nail fungus can spread to other nails and to other people.

Dermatophytes, which cause mycosis, are ubiquitous filamentous fungi belonging to the genera Microsporum, Trichophyton and Epidermophyton.
