What is Bravecto cat Spot-on flea and tick repellent MSD?
Bravecto cat Spot-on flea and tick repellent MSD is a revolutionary product for the health of your feline companions. The active ingredient, fluralaner, is a powerful ectoparasiticide, targeting fleas and ticks that reside on the skin or in the fur of animals. Parasites must be present on the cat's skin and have begun feeding to be exposed to fluralaner, ensuring optimal efficacy.
Fluralaner acts precisely on the nervous system of parasites. By inhibiting the normal circulation of chloride ions in nerve cells, specifically those associated with gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate, it causes uncontrolled nerve activity. This action leads to the paralysis and death of fleas and ticks, guaranteeing rapid and lasting relief for your pet.
The benefits of Bravecto Cat Spot-on are numerous. By killing fleas before they lay eggs, it helps to significantly reduce contamination of your cat's environment. This product is particularly effective, working in less than 12 hours to eliminate fleas and in less than 48 hours for ticks in cats.
Bravecto provides long-lasting protection. With a single application, it provides coverage against fleas for 12 weeks and against ticks for 8 to 12 weeks. This means less stress for you and your cat, while guaranteeing continuous protection against parasites.
Your cat's comfort and safety are paramount. By using Bravecto, you ensure that your cat is protected against fleas and ticks, without the inconvenience of frequent treatments. This product is also designed to be easy to apply, minimizing stress for your pet.
Buying advice: combine Bravecto with a regular care routine to maximize the benefits for your cat.

How do I use this product?
To use Bravecto cat Spot-on, follow these simple steps:
- Open the sachet and remove the applicator just before use. Holding the applicator in an upright position, turn the "twist and use" tip clockwise or anti-clockwise to open. The tip remains attached to the applicator, indicating that it is ready for use.
- Make sure your cat is standing or lying down with its back horizontal. Place the applicator tip at the base of the cat's skull.
- Gently squeeze the applicator to apply all the contents directly onto the cat's skin. For cats up to 6.25 kg, apply in a single spot; for cats over 6.25 kg, apply in two spots.
For optimum tick control, repeat the treatment every 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the tick species. Bravecto kills fleas in 12 hours and ticks in 48 hours in cats. This product is available by prescription only.

Precautions for use
The most common side effect is a mild transient skin reaction at the application site, such as erythema, pruritus or hair loss. Since fleas and ticks must have begun feeding before they can be killed, it is possible that they may transmit diseases before they are eliminated.
