What is Duo LP - PRO Nits and Lice Duo LP-Pro used for?
This anti-lice treatment contains:
- Hair lotion + white plastic comb (rake shape with handle).
- Plastic bottle 150ml + case, with special fine-tip applicator.
Duo LP-Pro's innovative formula eliminates nits and lice mechanically, without insecticides. As soon as it is applied to the hair, Oxyphthirin acts on the respiratory system of nits and lice, suffocating them. Oxyphthirine closes the microperforated opercules of nits and the respiratory orifices of lice, putting a stop to their development and eradicating the infestation.
Duo LP-Pro contains a specific ingredient that helps dissolve the glue (spumaline) holding nits to the hair, making them easier to remove.
It's normal, once the treatment has been completed, to see nits clinging to the hair, but these are dead and will detach over time. Only the appearance of a nit within 48 hours of treatment justifies a treatment failure.
We also offer Natessance Kids Bio Spray Papoo Lavande 100 ml, at the best price in our online pharmacy.
How to use this anti-lice remedy?
Shake bottle well before use. At the end of the day, in the evening, apply the product directly to dry hair using the following recommended technique
- Step 1 = Apply Duo LP Pro lotion: Place a towel over your shoulders and divide your hair into 4 sections. For long hair, tie each part separately. Treat each part separately, making successive partings. Using the applicator, apply a thick, continuous line of lotion to the hair roots. Massage simultaneously with fingertips in circular motions to distribute lotion evenly. Repeat the operation to cover the entire scalp. Pay particular attention to the nape of the neck and behind the ears. After treating the entire scalp, cover all hair with the remaining lotion to reach all nits and lice.
- Step 2 = Impregnate with Duo LP Pro lotion: Carefully massage the entire head of hair to fully impregnate it.
- Step 3 = Removal: Comb through with a fine-toothed comb to remove lice and nits. Bring the hair forward, starting at the nape of the neck, and comb strand by strand, starting as close as possible to the skull and working towards the ends of the hair. Then systematically wipe the fine comb over a piece of cotton or paper towel to remove the lotion containing the nits and smothered lice. Discard the used piece. Fold back the treated strands on the combed side. Do not rinse hair until the following morning. Let hair air-dry or use a hair dryer.

Our advice and expert opinions
To combat lice infestations, it's essential to eliminate all stages of the insect's development, i.e. adults, larvae and eggs (nits), to truly get rid of the problem.
Lice have no natural enemies, and a female louse can lay up to 10 nits a day, i.e. 300 nits during her adult life (see diagram opposite). Proliferation can thus be extremely rapid.
Lice can survive for up to 2 days outside the scalp. Lice can therefore be transmitted :
- Directly: from head to head (via the exchange of clothing: scarf, cap, etc.);
- indirectly: lice can survive for up to 36 hours outside the scalp. Lice can therefore be transmitted via household textiles (sofa, pillows, stuffed toys, car seats, etc.).
It's important not to let children scratch too often, as this could lead to lesions and, more seriously, a bacterial skin infection.
To complete its action, we recommend making a rinse water with white vinegar (2L of water to one glass of white vinegar) to be applied after each shampoo.
As a preventive measure, we recommend using lavender essential oil, applying 1 drop behind each ear (from age 3).
