Easily avoid bad habits that damage your teeth

Without knowing it, you may have adopted bad habits for your teeth. Find out which behaviors are damaging your teeth.

Brushing teeth immediately after meals

Brushing your teeth with toothpaste right after eating is not a good idea. Indeed, some foods contain acidic substances that weaken tooth enamel and brushing your teeth right after a meal pushes the acid deeper into the enamel. It is therefore advisable to wait at least half an hour after the end of the meal before brushing your teeth with a suitable toothpaste.
Similarly, do not brush your teeth immediately after an episode of gastric reflux.

Snacking outside of main meals

When we succumb to the temptation of snacking, it is often for foods that contain a lot of sugars, which promotes the appearance of cavities. Moreover, if we think about brushing our teeth after each meal, we don't always think about it after snacking!
Our advice, after your snack, if you can't brush your teeth, rinse your mouth with a large glass of water.

Not brushing your teeth at night

The time when you should never forget to brush your teeth with a good toothpaste is in the evening. Indeed, at night, less saliva is secreted, the risk of caries formation is then higher at this time, because saliva neutralizes oral acidity.
Our advice, choose a soft toothbrush and change it every 3 months maximum. When you can't brush your teeth, at least rinse your mouth with water.

Smoking cigarettes

It has been known for a long time that in addition to causing serious problems such as cancer or lung and heart disease, tobacco is harmful to the oral cavity. Indeed, the nicotine attacks the enamel and the tar browns the tooth. Tobacco also contributes to the development of tartar. Finally, smokers have on average three times more cavities than non-smokers. So use a specific toothpaste for smokers.

Drinking certain drinks is not recommended for the health of your teeth

The worst drinks for your teeth are coffee, fruit tea, red wine, juices, especially red fruit juices, sodas and alcoholic beverages. We recommend an anti-caries toothpaste for those who cannot do without this type of drink.
