What is Akildia Diabetic Foot Cream used for?
The term diabetic foot refers to a complication of diabetes consisting of a series of foot injuries caused by degeneration of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, lesions which can compromise the functionality of the lower limbs.
Akildia Diabetic Feet Protective Cream fights against the appearance of hyperkeratosis, which causes a thickening of the stratum corneum and can trigger an inflammatory, localized reaction, creating an imbalance that generates cracks and fissures that can subsequently worsen. The skin is protected, moisturized and restored, and micro-circulation is encouraged.
Akildia Pieds Diabétique is a moisturizing cream specially designed to meet the specific needs of people with diabetes, who require particular attention to the health of their feet. This cream has been carefully formulated to help prevent and treat common skin problems associated with diabetes, such as dryness, cracks and calluses. As an essential foot care product for diabetics, Akildia Pieds Diabétique provides deep hydration while being gentle and non-irritating to the delicate skin of the feet.
Its special formula contains beneficial ingredients such as urea, renowned for its intense moisturizing properties, as well as emollient and softening agents to help maintain skin suppleness. These components work together to nourish and protect the skin barrier, reducing the risk of skin complications in diabetics. What's more, Akildia Pieds Diabétique is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested, making it a safe choice for even the most sensitive skin.
Regular use of Akildia Pieds Diabétique can help prevent the onset of more serious problems such as diabetic foot ulcers, which can lead to severe complications and even amputation. By gently massaging the cream into the feet every day, users can promote blood circulation, reduce the risk of infection and maintain the overall health of their feet. It's an essential addition to daily foot care routines for people with diabetes, helping them take control of their health and prevent potentially serious complications.
In addition to its moisturizing and protective benefits, Akildia Pieds Diabétique also offers immediate comfort and relief for tired, aching feet. Its light, non-greasy texture quickly penetrates the skin, leaving feet soft, smooth and pleasantly scented. By caring for their feet with this specially formulated cream, diabetics can improve their quality of life and maintain optimal mobility, which is essential for their overall well-being.
Akildia Pieds Diabétique is much more than just a moisturizing foot cream. It's an invaluable tool in the daily management of diabetes, offering protection, comfort and therapeutic benefits essential to maintaining foot health and preventing potentially serious complications. By incorporating this cream into their foot care routine, diabetics can take active steps to protect their health and improve their quality of life, which is crucial to living life to the full despite their medical condition.

The effects of diabetes on the feet
According to the Canadian Diabetes Association, over 9% of Canadians have diabetes, and over 22% have pre-diabetes, affecting over 9 million Canadians! Diabetes is an insidious disease that causes a multitude of complications, many of which affect the feet.
Diabetes affects the nerves, blood supply (vascularization) and immune system of the feet. Damage to these systems increases the risk of ulceration and amputation. In fact, 15 to 25% of diabetics will develop a foot ulcer, and 85% of amputations are due to foot ulcers, according to a study by the Canadian Association of Wound Care.
Fortunately, the consequences of diabetes on the feet can be limited by various preventive measures, including good glycemic control and regular follow-up visits to the podiatrist, since 50% of amputations could be avoided by preventive foot care.
