What is white tea?

White tea is a lightly oxidized tea made from the buds and young leaves of Camellia sinensis, the same plant as green and black teas. It is considered one of the most refined and delicate teas, as it undergoes very little processing, thus retaining a high antioxidant and polyphenol content.
