What is Transway Anti-Nausea Dressing used for?
Transway protects you, so you'll never be sick again in a car, bus, boat, plane or train. Transway Anti-Nausea Plaster is a self-massage system (acupuncture without needles) that is highly effective against motion sickness. Transway is highly effective against nausea, vomiting and motion sickness.
The anti-nausea plasters work like acupressure (a form of acupuncture without needles) and are designed to combat the nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness. They are based on the same principles as anti-nausea bracelets, applying gentle but firm pressure to the Nei-Kuan acupuncture point. To be effective, a patch should be placed on each forearm, ideally fifteen minutes before starting a journey, especially for people prone to motion sickness. The effectiveness of these patches depends essentially on their correct placement on the wrist (located between the two tendons of the wrist, approximately two thumb-widths from the first crease of the wrist).
The Nei-Kuan acupuncture point, also known as P6 or Pericardium 6, is a specific point located on the wrist. Traditionally used in Chinese medicine for its influence on the body's energy balance, it is recognized for its effectiveness in treating nausea, vomiting and motion sickness. The point is located three fingers wide below the wrist crease, between the two main tendons. Acupressure applied to Nei-Kuan helps relieve symptoms by stimulating this precise area, offering a natural, non-invasive method of controlling the discomforts associated with travel or other nausea-inducing conditions.
Transway contains no drugsor needles. It's effective, painless and convenient. No side effects, no contraindications.
- For adults and children over 3 years of age.
The effectiveness of the Transway device depends on its correct positioning:
- Close and clench your fist: the two tendons of your wrist become protruding.
- The tip of the Transway cone is positioned between the two tendons, the equivalent of 2 thumb widths upstream of the first wrist crease
- Transway is now positioned, and will remain in place until the end of your journey.
- For best results, we recommend that you place Transway on both wrists.

What are the recommendations?
- Do not use Transway for persistent symptoms outside travel periods, without consulting your doctor.
- For positioning, refer to the width of the user's thumb.
- The margin of error should not exceed half a centimetre.
- After removing Transway, a slight reddening or deformation of the skin at the site of the massage cone is normal.
- The presence of bracelets or watches may cause discomfort, so remove them, or loosen or roll up sleeves that are too tight.
- Transway should not be used on children under 3 years of age, due to the size of the system and the sensitivity of their skin, or on inflamed, allergic or injured skin.
