FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT, toothpaste gel contains fluoride in the form of two salts: sodium fluoride and sodium monofluorophosphate. This medication is recommended to prevent dental caries.
You should contact your doctor if you do not notice any improvement or if you feel worse.
2. WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD YOU KNOW BEFORE USING FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT, toothpaste gel?
Never use FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT, toothpaste gel:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sodium fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate, or any of the other ingredients in this medication listed in Section 6.
Warnings and Precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using FLUOCARIL BI-FLUORE 250 mg MINT toothpaste gel.
· The topical use of fluoride toothpaste or fluoride mouthwash is fully compatible with systemic fluoride intake; it enhances protection against tooth decay.
· However, an increase in the number of potential sources of fluoride can lead to fluorosis. To avoid cumulative exposure, it is essential to conduct a personalized assessment of fluoride intake (tap water and mineral water, fluoridated salt, medications in the form of tablets, drops, chewing gum, or fluoride toothpaste) before prescribing any fluoride-containing products.
· In overall calculations of the recommended fluoride ion intake (0.05 mg of fluoride/kg/day for all fluoride sources combined, not to exceed 1 mg/day), the potential amounts of toothpaste ingested (60 to 30% among children aged 3 to 7) must be taken into account, as these vary depending on age and the concentration of the toothpaste used.
· Children under 6 years of age should use toothpastes with a fluoride content of 500 ppm or less (50 mg/100 g). The amount to be used should be about the size of a pea, and children must be sure to spit out the toothpaste.
· This medication contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) and may cause allergic reactions.
· Due to the presence of sodium benzoate (E211), this medication may cause irritation of the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.
Children aged 6 and older may use toothpastes containing 1,000 to 1,500 ppm (100 to 150 mg/100 g).
Check the fluoride content on the toothpaste label.
For good oral health, it is important for your child to see a dentist regularly.

This toothpaste is available in paste and gel forms. In addition to the usual ingredients found in toothpaste, it contains a significant amount of fluoride; this substance enhances the effectiveness of brushing on the teeth. Fluoride is incorporated into the enamel to a limited extent and combats fermentation in dental plaque; it thus protects the teeth from enzymes and acids secreted by bacteria.
It is used in the preventive treatment of dental caries.
