What is Dr Valnet Petitgrain bigarade Organic Essential Oil 10ml used for?

Petitgrain bigarade essential oil has calming, sedative and anxiolytic properties for the nervous system. It is anti-inflammatory for neuralgic phenomena (cervico-dorsal arthritis, neuritis, rheumatoid arthritis). It is a mild sleep aid, a spasmolytic (nervous, thoracic and gynecological spasms) and a vascular spasmolytic (mild coronary insufficiency). This essential oil improves arterial circulation. It is anti-plethoric and a mild anti-infective (respiratory tract disorders).

More commonly known as the "bitter orange tree", the sour orange (Citrus aurantium ssp bigaradia - Rutaceae family) is a tree native to Central Asia from which the famous "orange blossom water" is extracted. Until the last century, it was always on hand to relieve female indispositions ranging from indigestion to vapors. The flowers and leaves of the Bitter Orange tree are renowned for their beneficial effects on nervous balance and digestion.

Petit Grain Bigarade essential oil, rich in linalyl acetate, boasts exceptional antispasmodic properties. It is particularly effective in controlling spasms of nervous, thoracic and gynecological origin. The linalyl acetate it contains acts as a vascular smooth muscle antispasmodic by activating nitric oxide, helping to relax blood vessels and relieve muscular tension.

Recognized for its calming and anxiolytic effect, Petit Grain Bigarade oil is a prime ally in stress management. The linalool and linalyl acetate molecules it contains act as sedatives and nervous rebalancers. Studies have confirmed its beneficial effects on anxiety and stress, notably by reducing levels of cortisol, the hormone associated with stress. This essential oil thus promotes a state of relaxation and enhanced concentration.

Containing linalool and α-terpineol, Petit Grain Bigarade oil also has anti-infectious properties, particularly effective for respiratory tract ailments. Its analgesic action, thanks in particular to linalool, soothes pain of nervous origin, including certain types of rheumatism. It interacts with various receptors, notably muscarinic, opioid and dopaminergic, to provide pain relief and a sensation of local anesthesia.

In addition to these main properties, Petit Grain Bigarade essential oil also offers significant secondary benefits. It acts as a wound-healer and has anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful for the treatment of various skin conditions. As an insecticide and repellent, it is also effective in keeping insects away, contributing to a healthier, pest-free environment.

The aromatherapy laboratory Pranarom also offerslarge-leaf sage essential oil at the best price in our online pharmacy.
