How do I use Thuasne Biflex 16 + light elastic compression bandage?
- Apply the bandage before getting up, with the foot flexed at 90°.
- Position the band flat against the roots of the toes. Hold the unrolled end with your left hand. Calibration should be visible (not against the skin).
- Remember to keep to the calibration (the rectangle should turn into a square) as you place the band.
- Make one pass under the foot, then a second pass closer to the ankle. Cover the heel.
- Pass under the foot, then around the ankle, over the back of the heel and back over the top of the foot.
- Go around the ankle again.
- Work your way up the calf, staggering the turns evenly.
- Half-square overlap for strength 1 (no need to line up the squares), i.e. each turn overlaps the previous one by half the rectangle.
- Overlap for force 2 in full square (the turn of the coil overlaps the previous one at the bottom edge of the rectangle.
- Finish 5 cm below the buttock crease or 2 cm below the knee.
- Remove the band in the evening.
Care:
- Machine wash at 30°C, delicate cycle, using a detergent for delicate garments.
- Squeeze dry
- Dry away from heat sources.
- Can be self-washed at 120°C
