Urgo K2 dual-strip compression system allows you to create a compression bandage.

What is the Urgo K2 dual-strip compression system?

UrgoK2 is a dual-band compression system designed to stimulate venous return in people prone to venous leg ulcers and chronic venous insufficiency.

UrgoK2 comes in two different bands.

The first is Ktech. White in color, this short-stretch bandage is made from wadding and a compressive fabric. The Ktech band provides compression, protection and absorption. Care must be taken to apply it correctly, following the instructions. The ktech bandage contributes 80% of the required therapeutic pressure.

The second band is Kpress. This flesh-colored bandage is made from acrylic, polyamide and elastane, plus a cohesive material containing natural latex. The kpress bandage holds the bandage in place and provides additional pressure to achieve the required therapeutic pressure.

We also offer Urgo K2 latex-free dual-strip compression system at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do I use Urgo K2 dual-strip compression system?

Method of application below the knee (venous leg ulcer or edema): Hold foot at 90°, toes up. Apply Ktech (band 1) to the base of the toes, making two anchoring turns, ensuring that the padded side is in direct contact with the skin and that the pressure indicator is located on the upper side of the band. Continue in an "8" pattern around the ankle, without applying excessive tension to the foot and covering the heel well.
Spiral up to the knee, stretching the band appropriately: the pressure indicator printed on the band should form a circle. For correct overlap, the pressure indicator should be just covered (50% overlap). Finish 2 cm below the knee and cut off excess bandage. Secure with a plaster.
Apply Kpress (band 2) over Ktech (band 1) using the same technique, starting one finger above Ketch and finishing one finger below Ktech, so that only Ktech is in direct contact with the skin. Once applied, press gently on the bandage with your hands to ensure a firm hold.

Method of application up to the thigh (edema): If necessary, apply a suitable bandage over the toes. To apply the bandage up to the thigh, follow the same method as for below-the-knee application (with identical overlap), but using the following bandage sequence: Apply an 8 cm Ktech over the foot (or 10 cm depending on foot size) and up to the ankle.
Then apply a 10 cm Ktech. Stop just above the knee; bend the knee slightly. If necessary, pad the back of the knee with absorbent cotton for greater comfort.
Continue up the thigh with a 10 cm or 12 cm Ktech (whichever is more appropriate) and hold in place with plaster.
Apply Kpress over Ktech, using the same tape sequence and application method.
Cut off excess strip lengths. At the end of the application, gently press the bandage with your hands to ensure a firm hold.

Care: UrgoK2 should be left in place day and night, until the next dressing change. The UrgoK2 kit is for single use only. Storage: Store away from heat (max 40°C) and light.
