What does Keto Cole Gel prevent hyperthrophic scars and keloids?
Kelo-cote adheres to the stratum corneum (top layer of the epidermis), creating a protective barrier against chemical, physical and microbial invasion of the scar while contributing to its hydration.
This creates an environment allowing the scar to close with normalized collagen synthesis, and improves the scar's physiological and aesthetic appearance.
Well tolerated, KELO-COTE gel reduces scar redness, softens and flattens raisedscars, and relieves the itching and pain associated with scars.
Kelo-cote dries quickly to form a silicone film, which is gas-permeable, flexible and water-resistant.
ALLIANCE Kelo-Cote Gel For Scars is indicated for the treatment of old and new scars, including hypertrophic and keloid scars, resulting from surgery, trauma, wounds and burns.
Kelo-cote can be used on joints, flexion creases, hairy areas and extensive scars such as those resulting from major burns or trauma.

Our expert advice on Kelo-cote gel
Keloid scars are inflammatory scars that appear thick, hardened and puffy. This phenomenon is caused by overproduction of collagen in the dermis during repair of connective tissue, where fibrous scar tissue replaces normal skin tissue. This overproduction is accompanied by excessive development of dermal cells: the fibroblasts. This unsightly outgrowth of the dermis can appear following skin trauma, original injury, shingles, burns, folliculitis, certain skin diseases such as acne, scarring following vaccination, or after an incision or surgical procedure. Keloid scars can be painful, itchy and irritating.
