What is LCA Balsam Fir Essential Oil 10 ml used for?

LCA Balsam Fir Essential Oil can be used for:

  • Respiratory tract congestion
  • Acute or chronic bronchitis
  • Irritating and/or painful, spasmodic coughs
  • Colds
  • Fatigue or burn-out
  • Air antiseptic
  • Cleansing the air

Balsam Fir essential oil can be very useful during the cold season. Decongestant and antiseptic, it can help combat sinusitis, flu and dry coughs. LCA Balsam Fir essential oil has many virtues, including

  • Respiratory antiseptic: contains mainly monoterpenes, molecules renowned for their atmospheric antiseptic action. Alpha pinene is particularly effective on contact or diffusion against fungi, viruses and bacteria; here, its action is reinforced by the presence of other monoterpenes.
  • Anti-inflammatory: bornyl acetate intervenes during the inflammatory reaction, modulating it to limit its negative effects.
  • General tonic and stimulant: monoterpenes are molecules that act on all the body's functions to keep it in a state of general good health. Their cortison-like properties play a role in this stimulation.

Balsam fir essential oil has rheumatic analgesic propertieswhen applied locally. It can help relieve joint and muscle pain associated with rheumatic conditions.

This essential oil has a notable antibacterial action, notably against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It can also inhibit the growth of Actinomadura madurae, a pathogen potentially responsible for actinomycetoma. Balsam fir oil has also been shown to potentiate the effect of certain antibiotics on Escherichia coli. Balsam fir has antiviral and antifungal properties, making it an ally in the fight against viral and fungal infections. In particular, it can inhibit the formation of biofilms in Candida albicans.

This essential oil has anti-inflammatory properties, stimulating the pituitary-adrenal axis and acting in a similar way to cortisone. It is therefore beneficial in prolonged inflammatory conditions. Thanks to its alpha-pinene content, balsam fir essential oil can act on NK cells, increasing their cytotoxicity and offering potential in the fight against cancer.

It has expectorant and mucolytic properties, promoting theelimination of bronchial secretions and thus facilitating breathing. It is also a cough suppressant and respiratory oxygenator. In addition to the many properties mentioned above, balsam fir essential oil is also balsamic, a general tonic and stimulant, antioxidant, lymphotonic and decongestant.
