Our advice and expert opinions
Many people wear braces. Today's prostheses are getting closer and closer to reality in terms of aesthetics and comfort. They are now very realistic and give the impression of natural teeth... and to keep your best smile, it's important to take good care of them!
When gums, dentures and remaining teeth are not properly cleaned, bacteria accumulate at the gum line and can solidify on the teeth in the form of tartar. Tartar contributes to bad breath, cavities, gum disease and tooth loss.
Rinse your denture (preferably with clean, lukewarm water) and brush it with a toothbrush. Then dip it in a cleaning solution to keep the denture white and prevent bacteria build-up.
Finally, keep your dentures moist when not in use, as they may lose their shape as they dry. If your dentures have metal parts, consult your dentist for specific care instructions.
