Eucalyptus globulus: On its native continent, this beautiful, aromatic tree provides the exclusive food of Australia's favorite small animal, the Koala. Only the elongated leaves, growing on older branches, exude the characteristic fragrance of the essential oil, which is very rich in eucalyptol. The leaves are active on the respiratory tract. This is why eucalyptus is known to promote respiratory comfort.
Niaouli: Niaouli is a tropical tree with scaly bark, native to New Caledonia. The first distillation took place in 1862 in Nouméa. During the Great War, production of the essential oil was requisitioned by military doctors, due to its remarkable properties.
Ravintsara: The island of Madagascar is home to many medicinal species. Ravintsara stands out for its size and dense foliage adorned with red berries. Its name comes from the Malagasy ravina, leaf,
and tsara, good. Ravintsara has sometimes been confused with another tree with a similar name, Ravensara. These are two very different species.
Tea tree: This small tree with light foliage was discovered in Australia at the time of Captain Cook. English sailors used to brew its leaves like tea, hence the name Tea tree. Its properties have been studied since the early 20th century.
