What are the side effects and contraindications?

Do not rinse the nose in children:

• in the presence of lesions of the nasal vault and sinus walls directly connected to cerebral fluid compartments,
• if there is a tendency to severe nasal haemorrhage,
• if a lack of coordination leads to inhalation of flushing fluid and associated attacks of coughing and shortness of breath. In such cases, rinse treatment should be discontinued and resumed only when the child's motor skills permit.
