What is URGO Superficial Burns 4 Large Dressings used for?
Domestic accidents, such as burns and superficial wounds, are common and can occur at any time. URGO Superficial Burns 4 Large Dressings are an innovative and effective solution for the treatment of these inconveniences. These dressings, designed by Urgo Laboratories, are specially formulated to treat superficial second-degree burns and minor wounds such as abrasions or cuts.
The unique composition of this dressing lies in the combination of two essential active ingredients: Vaseline andHydrocolloid. Vaseline, a fatty substance renowned for its moisturizing properties, creates a protective barrier that maintains moisture in the skin, preventing the wound from drying out. Hydrocolloid plays a crucial role in the healing process. By forming a gel on contact with wound exudate, it promotes healing in an optimal moist environment, accelerating cell renewal.
URGO Brûlures superficielles 4 Pansements Grand Format features an advanced technology that enables it not to adhere to the wound. This significantly reduces the risk of irritation when changing dressings, and ensures pain-free removal. What's more, thanks to its flesh-colored stretch non-woven backing, the dressing blends discreetly into the skin, offering comfort and discretion.
One of the major benefits of this product is its ability to provide rapid pain relief. By isolating the wound from external aggressors and maintaining an environment conducive to healing, URGO Superficial Burns reduces discomfort and painful sensations as soon as it is applied.
URGO Superficial Burns 4 Large Dressings is a complete solution for the treatment of light burns and superficial wounds. Its unique formulation, combining Vaseline and Hydrocolloid, guarantees rapid, effective healing in 5 to 6 days, while offering optimum protection and unrivalled comfort. Whether you're at home, at work or on the move, this dressing is the ideal ally for dealing with the little accidents of everyday life.

Our expert advice
First step: cool the burn with cold water
First and foremost, it's important to cool the burn with cold water. The earlier you do this, the more effective it is. It reduces local heat and prevents inflammation from spreading. The golden rule is the "three 15s": rinse the burn at 15°C, 15 centimetres away and for around 15 minutes.
For superficial burns, URGO has the solution!
When a blister appears, it's important to respect it as much as possible and avoid puncturing it. A blister is a bulwark against infection. If a blister does break, however, it must be disinfected. It is also advisable to apply a sterile lipid-colloid dressing or tulle such as URGO Burns and Superficial Wounds to the area to be treated.
