What is Mycoster 1% Cream Tube 30g used for?

Mycoster 1% cream is a drug for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails , whether or not infected with bacteria, and mild to moderate seborrheic dermatitis of the face.

The fungi that cause infections in humans are well known. The main culprits are dermatophytes, which affect the skin, and certain yeasts, such as Candida, which causes vaginal mycosis, and Pityriasis versicolor, which causes pigmented spots. But there are other, lesser-known types too.

What is mycosis? The skin and mucous membranes are home to many fungi. Normally harmless, these hosts take advantage of weaknesses in our immune system to become highly invasive.

Depending on their location: fungal infections can be superficial, cutaneous, subcutaneous or deep-seated (generalized);
mode of transmission: the causative agent may be endogenous (naturally present in the body) or exogenous (transmitted by respiratory, cutaneous or transcutaneous routes);
according to their severity: most mycoses are not serious (vaginal mycoses, nail mycoses, etc.), but fungal infections that occur in weakened individuals, particularly those hospitalized, can be fatal.

This medication is recommended for the treatment of skin or nail mycoses (fungal infections), whether or not superinfected by bacteria, and seborrheic dermatitis.
