What is Beaphar Lactol Lait Maternisé Pour Chatons used for?

For proper development, kittens need a healthy, balanced diet. To meet your kitten's nutritional and energy needs, Beaphar has developed Lactol, formula milk for non-weaned kittens. The composition is rich in protein. It contains other nutrients essential to the body.

The formula of this formula milk for unweaned kittens has been completed, enriched with DHA to be as close as possible to a cat's natural milk. This milk contains all the nutrients essential for the growth of young animals. This kitten milk contains minerals, vitamins and trace elements to help the body function properly. Lactol also contains taurine, an amino acid known to improve heart function and visual acuity. The entire formula has been designed with your cat's vitality in mind, from birth to adulthood, because good kitten nutrition ensures good adult health.

This formula has been specially formulated to replace breast milk for newborn and orphaned kittens, from birth to weaning (0-2 months). Thanks to a composition rich in highly digestible proteins, quality fats and essential fatty acids, it supports harmonious growth and optimal development. Enriched with DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), this milk contributes to the healthy development of the brain and vision, while strengthening the nervous system. Its content of vitamins A, B6, B12, C and D helps stimulate the immune system, promoting greater resistance to infection.

This milk is not only intended for orphaned kittens: it also provides valuable nutritional support for pregnant or nursing cats, to cover their increased needs during the breeding season. It can also be offered to adult cats who are ill or convalescing, when a gentle, easily digestible, high-energy diet is needed for their recovery.

This milk substitute provides complete, balanced and easily assimilated nutrition, guaranteeing young kittens and fragile animals a solid start and healthy growth.

The Beaphar veterinary laboratory also offers the anti-hairball malt paste for cats, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do I use this formula for kittens?

Preparation instructions: Add Lactol powder to hot (not boiling) water and stir until completely dissolved. Allow to cool to lukewarm (close to body temperature, approx. 38°C). Older animals may prefer to drink cold Lactol.

Prepared milk can be stored for 24 hours in the fridge, and should be warmed up before use for young animals (approx. 38°C, body temperature). Make sure fresh drinking water is available to the animal.

Quantity to be diluted : Add the contents of 7 measuring spoons (approx. 4.5 g per spoon) to 100 ml of warm water.

Recommended daily amount: The amount varies according to the age, size and breed of the animal. It is therefore advisable to give Lactol at the animal's request. Each kitten should be weighed regularly to ensure it gains weight and grows properly. One liter of prepared Lactol milk contains around 1250 Kcals.
