Jardin d'occitanie Bleuet Bio 25 g comes in an eco kraft sachet. It contains only cornflower plants, with no added sugar, preservatives or flavoring.

What is Jardin d'occitanie Bleuet Bio 25 g used for?

This sachet contains cornflower, much appreciated for adding color to your infusions. Its color pigment gives your infusions a radiant electric-blue hue. Its anthocyanin content has a high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential. Originally from the Near East, this plant is renowned for its medicinal, gastronomic and cosmetic virtues.

Cornflower plant can be used as a mist or toner for the skin, in fact, cornflower hydrosol is applied to the face before applying make-up in the morning or in the evening after removing make-up. It soothes redness, firms and simply refreshes the skin in hot weather.

Cornflower is renowned for its medicinal properties, mainly attributed to its richness in anthocyanins, pigmented compounds with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. As an infusion, blueberries can be enjoyed for their many health benefits. The anthocyanins present in blueberries can help boost the immune system by combating the free radicals responsible for oxidative stress. In addition, regular consumption of blueberry infusions can aid digestion by soothing gastrointestinal complaints such as bloating and cramps.

In addition to its medicinal properties, cornflower is also appreciated in the kitchen for its delicate flavor and vibrant color. It can be used in a variety of gourmet recipes to add an original, tasty touch. Dried or fresh blueberries can be incorporated into desserts such as muffins, pies, crumbles or pancakes to add a sweet and tangy note. Blueberries can also be used to make homemade jams, sauces to accompany meats or even added to salads for a touch of freshness and color.

Blueberry hydrosol, obtained by distillation of the plant, is widely used in cosmetics for its soothing and skin-refreshing properties. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and softening properties, cornflower hydrosol is an excellent skin care ingredient. It can be used as a mist to refresh the skin throughout the day, or as a facial toner before applying make-up or after removing it. In addition to soothing redness and irritation, cornflower hydrosol helps firm the skin, giving it a more radiant, revitalized appearance.

How do I use this organic cornflower?

To prepare an infusion, simply pour boiling water over the plants just as the water comes to the boil. Then cover the container and leave to infuse for the time indicated. This generally takes 2-3 minutes for aromatic plants and 10 minutes for teas, or even an hour, depending on the plant. You can stir the preparation with a wooden spoon before filtering and drinking. You can sweeten the infusion with honey or organic wholegrain sugar. However, it is not advisable to use refined sugar.

To prepare a decoction, we recommend making a cornflower infusion using 10 grams of plant per 20 centilitres of water.

Pour cold water into a suitable container and place the plants in it. Then bring to the boil on the stove, remove and leave to infuse for ¼ hour or even 20 minutes.
