What is IBSA Melatonin 1mg Filmtec used for?

IBSA Melatonin 1mg Filmtec is a dietary supplement formulated with Chamomile and Lavender plant extracts, Melatonin, Vitamin B6 and sweeteners. IBSA FilmTec® Melatonin comes in orodispersible tablets which are easy to take without water. Once the tablet is placed on the tongue, it melts in a few seconds. IBSA Melatonin can be taken as soon as falling asleep seems difficult or takes longer, even by people who may have difficulty swallowing, or who are bedridden or particularly frail.

Thanks to FilmTec® technology, this product offers an ultra-practical orodispersible form, which dissolves instantly on the tongue without the need for water. Ideal for people on the move, prone to stress or having difficulty swallowing conventional forms. This innovative format also guarantees optimal bioavailability of the active ingredients, enabling rapid action when you need it most.

Melatonin, naturally produced by our pineal gland, plays a key role in regulating the circadian rhythm. Its exogenous intake in precise quantities (1 mg) helps shorten the time it takes to fall asleep, while alleviating the discomforts associated with jet lag. Perfect for travellers, night-shift workers and anyone whose biological clock is out of kilter.

Melatonin's actions :

  • Melatonin helpsreduce the time it takes to fall asleep (the beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime).
  • Reduce the effects of jet lag (the beneficial effect is obtained by consuming at least 0.5 mg just before bedtime on the first day of travel and the few days following arrival at destination).

Vitamin B6 helps maintain normal energy metabolism, normal immune system function, normal central nervous system function, promotes normal psychological functions and reduces fatigue. Chamomile promotes relaxation and sleep, and improves mental well-being. Lavender relaxes and promotes sleep in cases of stress. Finally, it helps stabilize mood.

We also offer Melatonin 5-HTP KAL 60 tablets at the best price in our online pharmacy.

Expert advice

In naturopathy, a good night's sleep begins long before bedtime. Creating a soothing night-time routine is essential to support the effects of this supplement. Choose a subdued atmosphere, avoid screens in the evening, and introduce gentle practices such as cardiac coherence or a warm bath with essential oils (lavender, Roman chamomile).

You can also support your circadian rhythm by exposing your eyes to natural light in the morning, adopting regular mealtimes, and avoiding stimulants (coffee, black tea, alcohol) from late afternoon onwards. This product will be all the more effective if integrated into a lifestyle geared towards recovery and regularity.
