1. WHAT IS COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Pharmacotherapeutic class ANTIHEMINTIC (P: Parasitology)
This medicinal product is an antiparasitic.
It is recommended for the treatment of parasitosis such as lascaridiosis, loxyurosis and lankylostomiasis.
2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TAKING COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet?
Never take COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet :
- if you are allergic to pyrantel or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine, as mentioned in section 6.

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet.
Use WITH CAUTION in case of liver disease.
Oxyurosis
To prevent reinfestation, rigorous hygiene must be practised: daily cleansing of the anal region, brushing of the nails several times a day. Cut children's fingernails very short. Change underwear and nightwear regularly. Avoid scratching. Treat all family members at the same time, as the infection is often not accompanied by any symptoms.

Other medicines and COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may take any other medicines.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Pregnancy
This medicine should only be used during pregnancy if necessary.
If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor, as only he/she can decide whether treatment should be continued.
Breast-feeding
As a precaution, avoid taking this medicine while breast-feeding.
In general, during pregnancy and when breast-feeding, always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet contains orange yellow S (E110) aluminium lake.
May cause allergic reactions.
3. HOW DO I TAKE COMBANTRIN 125 mg, tablet?
Dosage
RESERVED FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 12 KG
Oxyures
The usual dose is 10 mg/kg to 12 mg/kg as a single dose in adults and children, i.e. :
- in children: 1 tablet per 10 kg of weight,
- in adults weighing less than 75 kg: 6 tablets,
- adults over 75 kg: 8 tablets.
In the case of pinworm disease, observe rigorous hygiene measures and also treat those around you.
To avoid re-infection, prescribe a 2nd dose 2 to 3 weeks after the initial dose.
Ascariasis and Ankylostomiasis
Follow your doctor's prescription.
THIS MEDICINE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO YOU PERSONALLY IN A SPECIFIC SITUATION:
- IT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE IN ANOTHER CASE.
- DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE ELSE.
Method and route of administration
Oral administration.
Duration of treatment
In cases of hyperurosis, treatment is given as a single dose. Repeat 3 weeks later.
In the case ofascaridiasis andankylostomiasis, follow your doctor's recommendations.

4. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause undesirable effects, but they do not occur systematically in everyone.
