Picot AR 1st age is a thickened infant milk with carob, designed to limit regurgitation in infants aged 0 to 6 months. Rich in DHA, it contributes to baby's cerebral development. To be used under medical supervision.

What is Picot AR Lait 1er âge 800 g used for?

Regurgitation and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are frequent complaints in infants. Their immature digestive tract sometimes has difficulty retaining milk after feeding. Picot AR 1st age is an infant formula specially designed to reduce regurgitation, thanks to a texture thickened with carob. This natural thickener facilitates digestion while ensuring proper assimilation of essential nutrients.

In addition to its anti-regurgitation action, this infant milk provides essential fatty acids, including DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). This nutrient plays a key role in the cerebral and visual development of infants. In fact, it is recommended by infant nutrition experts to support growth and the maturation of cognitive functions.

The cause of reflux in babies is often multifactorial. Prolonged lying down, weakness of the esophageal sphincter and a liquid-only diet are all factors that contribute to these disorders. By thickening milk in the stomach, Picot AR 1er âge helps limit regurgitation while respecting the baby's fragile digestive system.

Carob, the key ingredient in this formula, is a plant-based thickener particularly suited to infant nutrition. Unlike starches, it thickens milk immediately upon preparation, making it easier to administer. However, it is recommended to use a teat adapted to the thicker texture of the milk.

In line with health professionals' recommendations, Picot AR 1st age can be used as the sole source of nutrition for the first six months of life. It meets the nutritional needs of infants by providing the proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals required for harmonious growth. However, this formula is not suitable for babies allergic to cow's milk proteins.

In addition to the benefits of this product, Novalac AR+ Lait Infantile 1er Âge Anti-Régurgitation 800 g can be an interesting alternative, also enriched with natural thickening agents to limit reflux in infants.
