Description of Hexomedine Transcutanée 45ml bottle

Hexomedine Transcutanée 45ml is an antiseptic for small, superficial wounds and an adjunctive local treatment for superinfected skin.

How to treat a wound?
Superficial wounds are simple, small wounds. Even if they appear harmless, they need to be treated to avoid complications, primarily infection.
Before treating a wound, wash your hands. The use of a local antiseptic such as Transcutaneous Hexomedin should not lead us to neglect the first essential step in wound care: cleansing. A simple, thorough wash with warm water and soap eliminates most germs. This step must be followed by an equally careful rinsing, as some antiseptics can be harmful to the skin.

Protect your skin with Hexomedine Transcutanée 45ml bottle

Hexomedine Transcutanée, available at a low price without prescription, is indicated for the antisepsis of small superficial wounds and the local adjunctive treatment of any skin superinfection. Local adjunctive treatment of skin superinfection

Its special formula helps reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms associated with superinfection, such as redness, pain and swelling. Using Hexomedine Transcutanée, you can effectively treat small wounds while soothing skin irritations, promoting complete, uncomplicated healing.

An antiseptic is a product that eliminates or prevents the growth of bacteria or viruses. It is used on the surface of the body (disinfectants are used on medical and other equipment). Antiseptics can be fungicidal (against fungi), bactericidal (against bacteria), virucidal (against viruses) or sporicidal (against spores), but in general they combine all these functions. They are applied locally to the area to be treated.

What are the risks and complications associated with a non-disinfected wound?

Some wounds involve serious risks and require prompt medical attention. This is particularly true of open wounds that are deep, extensive and bleeding, and which could damage tendons, nerves or blood vessels.

Wounds can also worsen, leading to complications such as

  • local skin infection
  • necrosis or death of skin tissue
  • delayed wound healing
  • abnormal or unsightly healing
  • tetanus risk, particularly if vaccination is delayed.

How can complications from infected wounds be prevented?

Complications arising from wounds can be avoided by following a few simple steps:

  • treat and dress the wound correctly, disinfecting it with transcutaneous Hexomedine
  • monitor theinfectious state of the wound, and seek prompt medical advice if symptoms such as redness, swelling, pus discharge, renewed bleeding, increased pain or fever appear.
