At 1.9 mg per tablet, melatonin helps you fall asleep more easily and minimizes the effects of jet lag when traveling.

What is Solgar Super Melatonin used for?

A dietary supplement based on Melatonin that helps fight insomnia quickly and effectively. This neurohormone is produced from serotonin by a tiny part in the middle of the brain: the pineal gland (epiphysis). The role of this gland is to control the sleep/wake cycle.

Melatonin production can vary greatly from one person to another, which explains why some people are more of an evening person and others more of a morning person. Moreover, melatonin production begins to decline at puberty and falls steadily to represent only 10% of the initial level by the age of 70. Several studies have shown that taking melatonin can effectively reduce the time it takes to fall asleep, particularly for people who feel active in the evening and have difficulty getting up in the morning.

For people suffering from chronic sleep disorders, with difficulty falling asleep and night-time awakenings or light sleep, we recommend a one-month course of Solgar melatonin combined with the phytostandard Eschscholzia-valerian PhytoPrevent. Eschscholtzia is a medicinal plant with sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic properties, which promotes quality sleep. Valerian is a medicinal plant that provides relaxation and promotes sleep.

Melatonin is essential for maintaining a healthy circadian rhythm, regulating our sleep patterns. However, melatonin production can vary from person to person, and declines with age, which can lead to difficulty falling asleep and sleep disturbances. Melatonin supplementation can therefore be beneficial to compensate for these variations and promote quality sleep.

Several studies have demonstrated the positive effects of melatonin on sleep quality. By reducing the time it takes to fall asleep, particularly for people with staggered sleep rhythms, melatonin helps to establish a more regular and satisfying sleep cycle. What's more, it can help reduce night-time awakenings and improve the depth of sleep, enabling you to wake up more rested and revitalized.

For people with chronic sleep disorders, characterized by difficulty falling asleep, night-time awakenings or light sleep, we recommend combining Solgar melatonin with PhytoPrevent's phytostandard Eschscholzia-valerian. Eschscholtzia, a medicinal plant with sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic properties, promotes quality sleep, while valerian provides relaxation and helps you fall asleep.
