Téofarma - Targeted pharmaceutical solutions for essential health needs

Founded in Italy in 1999, Téofarma is a privately-owned pharmaceutical company that designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of medical and therapeutic products. Drawing on its diversified expertise, Téofarma develops medicines for common but essential indications: dry eyes, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, iron-deficiency anemia and parasitic diseases.

The laboratory places patient comfort at the heart of its strategy, combining therapeutic efficacy, clinical tolerance and adapted galenic forms. Téofarma thus offers specialties designed to meet everyday needs, while complying with current pharmaceutical quality and safety standards.

Treatment of dry eyes: targeted expertise

Dry eyes are a common pathology, linked to a reduction in tear production or an alteration in tear composition. It can be caused by age, certain treatments, or environmental factors (wind, screens, air conditioning, etc.). Symptoms include tingling, redness, burning, visual discomfort or paradoxical lacrimation.

To treat this condition, Téofarma has developed Larmes artificielles Martinet, a lubricating eye drop indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye. It compensates for the lack of natural tear film, protects the cornea and relieves ocular discomfort. It can be instilled up to 8 times a day, depending on the patient's needs.

Instructions for use: tilt the head, pull back the lower eyelid, instill one drop, then gently close the eye. When combined with other eye drops, we recommend a 15-minute interval between applications. Proper hygiene is essential to avoid contamination of the bottle.

Prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiencies: Nicobion and Fero-grad Vitamin C 500

Nicobion - Vitamin B3 (PP) for pellagra

Nicobion is a vitamin PP (or vitamin B3, niacin)-based medicine indicated for the treatment of pellagra, a disease caused by severe vitamin B3 deficiency. Although rare in industrialized countries today, this pathology can occur in cases of malnutrition, chronic alcoholism or intestinal absorption disorders.

Pellagra manifests as painful dermatitis, chronic diarrhea and, in advanced cases, neurological disorders. Nicobion is available in oral tablet form for adults only. The usual dosage is 1 to 2 tablets a day, according to medical advice. Treatment must be supervised to avoid overdosing or adverse effects.

Fero-grad Vitamin C 500 - Iron + Vitamin C

Fero-grad Vitamin C 500 is a pharmaceutical speciality indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency, with or without anaemia, in adults. It combines iron (in the form of ferrous sulfate) with vitamin C, which improves intestinal absorption.

This medicine is particularly indicated in cases of :

  • iron-deficiency anemia (chronic fatigue, paleness, shortness of breath),
  • increased iron requirements(pregnancy, heavy menstrual periods, growth),
  • prevention of iron deficiency in pregnant women from the 2nd trimester onwards.

Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets a day for curative treatment, or 1 tablet a day for prevention during pregnancy. Due to the stimulating effect of vitamin C, it is preferable to take it in the morning on an empty stomach or before breakfast.

Deworming and treatment of intestinal parasites: Combantrin

Intestinal parasitic infections are common, especially among children and in crowded or unhygienic conditions. They can cause abdominal pain, digestive disorders, weight loss and nocturnal anal scratching (particularly in the case ofpinworm).

Combantrin, produced by Téofarma, is an antiparasitic drug based on pyrantel, a molecule belonging to the antihelminthic class. It acts by paralyzing intestinal worms (pinworms, roundworms, hookworms), facilitating their natural elimination via the stool.

This medicine is indicated for adults and children over 6 years of age. It is available in tablet or syrup form, with dosage adjusted to body weight for children. Combantrin should be taken at mealtimes, and treatment of the whole household is often recommended to avoid recontamination.

Téofarma: a commitment to quality in the service of family health

Téofarma medicines are designed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and meet European regulatory requirements in terms of quality, efficacy and safety. Each speciality comes with a detailed leaflet detailing precautions for use, contraindications and possible side effects.

The use of Téofarma products should always be supervised by a healthcare professional, particularly in the case of prolonged treatment or concomitant therapy.

Téofarma, targeted therapeutic solutions for everyday health

The Téofarma laboratory offers safe, effective and well-tolerated medicines, adapted to frequent but sometimes neglected clinical situations. Thanks to its expertise in ophthalmology, vitamin therapy, hematology and infectiology, Téofarma is able to respond to the needs of the population in a targeted way, promoting comfort, prevention and healing.

Whether it's to relieve dry eyes, make up for iron or vitamin deficiencies, or treat intestinal parasitosis, Téofarma products are designed to accompany patients throughout their treatment.
