How to use Objectif Zero wart treatment
Objectif ZeroVerrue is easy to use and only a small amount of solution is needed for the treatment to be effective.
Instructions for use - it's as simple as that:
- Dip the cotton bud into the Objectif ZeroVerrue solution, then drip it gently against the rim of the bottle. The cotton bud should only be damp.
- Apply the cotton bud lightly to the wart for 1 second, then repeat 1 or 2 times. Be careful not to touch the surrounding skin.
- That's it! Treat the wart regularly once a week until it disappears.
- When treating areas where the skin is thinner, such as children or the back of the hand, the dose can be reduced. Remove excess solution from the tip of the cotton bud with a tissue before starting treatment. Reduce the frequency of application; every two or three weeks only.
Children should always be treated by an adult. Click here to find out more about treatment for children under four.
Treating plantar warts or an old/hard wart
If you have a plantar wart or an old, hard wart, soften it before treatment, by soaking it in hot water until the skin has softened. Remove the layer of skin on top of the wart, using tweezers for example. As for the horn that covers plantar warts, you can gently remove it.
Precautions for use
Warning! As the solution is corrosive, follow the dosage instructions and apply with care. Do not use a bandage with Objectif ZeroVerrue. Do not file your wart.
Objectif ZeroVerrue should not be used to treat warts on the face or genitals, or to treat molluscum or other skin conditions.

Advice on warts from your pharmacy
Warts are benign outgrowths of the epidermis covered with a horny layer that gives them a rough texture. They are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are different types of warts, but the most common are common warts and plantar warts.
- Common warts can be recognized by their rough texture and cauliflower-like appearance. They appear most often on the hands and feet.
- Plantar warts are identical to common warts, but develop only on the sole of the foot. They interrupt the footprint pattern, as the skin lines are not drawn on the surface of the warts. Plantar warts are generally softer, flatter and painful due to the pressure exerted when walking.
Warts affect 7-10% of the population. They particularly affect children and adolescents. Warts are highly contagious, and are more common in people with weakened immune systems. Warts are transmitted from one person to another, or from one part of the same person's body to another, by direct contact with the infected area. Over 50% of warts disappear spontaneously within two years. However, they are unsightly and can be painful in the case of plantar warts. This is why patients often choose to treat these warts rather than wait for them to disappear on their own.
