Advice

How do I recover from the flu, strep throat and colds?
On average, it takes seven to ten days to recover from bronchitis, flu or strep throat... But these infections leave us tired and weakened. How can we regain our energy and vitality, and stimulate our immune system?
Using plants to cleanse and detoxify the body
Properly chosen, plants help cleanse the affected area to prevent reactivation of the illness.

  • After a cold, take advantage of the benefits of eucalyptus.
  • After the flu, rely on black elder.
  • After strep throat, enjoy the benefits of rosewood and niaouli.
  • After bronchitis, opt for echinacea.

Fight fatigue after an infection
Plants are also valuable allies in combating the physical and mental fatigue that follows an infectious episode. Here are two particularly effective herbs for this purpose

  • ginseng: a one-month course of treatment (not recommended for children or pregnant women) ;
  • sea buckthorn accelerates convalescence and stimulates the immune system, as a three-week course of treatment.

Anesthesiology © sical
Medication that results in anesthesia. In addition to general anesthetics that allow patients to fall asleep before surgery, there are local anesthetics that can be injected in contact with a nerve to desensitize a region body. Local anesthetics are also called anesthetic contact.

antibiotic
A substance capable of blocking the multiplication of certain bacteria or killing them. The spectrum of an antibiotic is the set of bacteria on which this product is usually active. Unlike bacteria, viruses are not susceptible to antibiotics. The first antibiotics were extracted from mushroom cultures: penicillium (penicillin), streptomyces (streptomycin). They are currently manufactured by chemical synthesis. Antibiotics are divided into families: penicillins, cephalosporins, macrolides, tetracyclines (cyclines), sulphonamides, aminoglycosides, lincosanides, phenicolates, polymyxins, quinolones, imidazoles, etc.
Inappropriate use of antibiotics may lead to the development of resistance: use antibiotics only on medical prescription, respect its dosage and duration, do not give or advise another person an antibiotic that you have been prescribed.

hepatic insufficiency
Inability of the liver to fulfill its function, which is essentially the elimination of some waste, but also the synthesis of many essential biological substances to the body: albumin, cholesterol and factors of coagulation (vitamin K, etc.).

renal insufficiency
Inability of the kidneys to eliminate waste or medicinal substances. An advanced renal insufficiency does not necessarily result in a decrease in the amount of urine excreted. Only a blood test and the dosage of creatinine may reveal this disease.

pharyngitis
Inflammation or infection of the pharynx.

angioedema
Allergic reaction reactions usually affect the face. The Quincke edema results in a sometimes spectacular swelling. The eyelids are often the first affected. In rare cases where the edema affects the throat, respiratory problems may occur and urgent treatment is necessary.

allergic reaction
Reaction due to body hypersensitivity to a drug. Allergic reactions can include very varied aspects: urticaria, angioedema, eczema, eruption of pimples reminding the measles, etc. Anaphylactic shock is a generalized allergic reaction that causes discomfort by sudden drop in blood pressure.

urticaria
Eruption of pimples on the skin, whose origin is mostly allergic. The buds resemble stinging nettles and their color varies from pale pink to red.
