The indications for Causticum reflect the diverse therapeutic properties of this homeopathic remedy created by Hahnemann in 1800. Since then, it has remained an indispensable homeopathic treatment for various forms of paralysis and rheumatic pain. It is particularly recommended for neurological and rheumatological pathologies. Causticum can also be used to treat warts, pustules, otorhinolaryngological disorders, urinary dysfunctions and behavioral disorders.
Treating neurological, rheumatic and dermatological pathologies with Causticum
Thanks to its therapeutic properties, Causticum is an effective remedy for the treatment of many pathologies affecting the nervous system, joints and the ENT sphere.
Homeopathic remedies in granule tubes or globular doses can be used for a variety of symptoms, so it is not possible to determine the indications and dose of a specific preparation.
Indications in neurology
Causticum is used to treat pathologies or dysfunctions affecting the nervous system, brain, spinal cord and nerves. These neurological disorders manifest themselves through neuralgia, vertigo, headaches, epileptic convulsions and various forms of paralysis and paresis. The remedy's therapeutic properties are also used to treat patients suffering from paralysis of the face and vocal cords. It is also commonly used to treat any form of reduced muscle strength (paresis) in the tongue, bladder or sphincter.
Rheumatological indications
Casticum provides relief for patients suffering from rheumatism and pain resulting from joint damage. It is thus prescribed when the patient experiences painful stiffening and creaking in the joints or knees. This remedy is also indicated to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, arthralgia or synovitis, an inflammation of the joint membrane.
Dermatological indications
Certain dermatological pathologies require the therapeutic administration of Causticum. This remedy is effective for skin eruptions such as acne, pustules and eczema. This therapeutic efficacy enables homeopathic treatment to be successfully applied to patients suffering from warts, pruritus, burns, skin ulcerations or itching all over the body.
The homeopathic physician selects the appropriate medicine, dilution and dosage of CAUSTICUM 4CH, 5CH, 7CH, 9CH, 15CH, 30CH Granules Boiron, appropriate to the patient's condition and characteristic symptoms.

The same applies to chronic sneezing and ringing in the ear.
When laryngitis is associated with a loss of voice, Causticum 4 CH should be taken three times a day in the form of 5 granules.
