What is LCA Lemon Litsée Essential Oil 10 ml used for?

Anti-inflammatory properties

Lemon Litsée essential oil has remarkable anti-inflammatory properties. It acts by inhibiting gamma interferon and IL-4 production, helping to reduce inflammation in the body. It is also effective against bronchial inflammation, making it useful in the treatment of asthma by inhibiting cytokines and the production of reactive oxygen species.

Antibacterial and antiviral properties

Litsée Citronnée has significant antibacterial and antiviral properties. It is effective against Escherichia coli and anaerobic germs, as well as Staphylococcus aureus. What's more, the citrals it contains act as effective antivirals against herpes viruses I and II, influenza A H9N2 and yellow fever virus. It is also active against Helicobacter pylori and Candida albicans.

Anticancer properties

This essential oil has promising anti-cancer properties, mainly attributed to the citral it contains. It induces apoptosis in lung cancer cells and reduces chemo-induction in hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, the D-limonene contained in Litsée Citronnée oil has anticancer properties by inducing apoptosis via mitochondrial death.

Other properties

In addition to its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anticancer properties, Lemon Litsée essential oil has other health benefits. It is calming, sedative, anxiolytic and antidepressant, making it an ideal choice for relieving stress and anxiety. Precautions for use

  • Caution in case of renal insufficiency ( nephrotoxic).
  • Avoid in association with cortisone, risk of drug interaction.
  • Do not use for prolonged periods, as this may cause the pituitary-adrenal axis to rest, resulting in acute adrenal insufficiency when the essential oil is discontinued.
  • Avoid applying essential oil in the evening (or before any period of rest).
  • Not recommended for people suffering fromosteoporosis, due to the inherent risk of decalcification
  • Contraindicated for pregnant women ( limonene induces uterine contractions), breast-feeding women and children under 7 years of age.
  • Enzyme inhibition, risk of drug interactions. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
  • Prohibited in animals
  • No wet inhalation or atmospheric diffusion
  • Caution in cases of prostatic hyperplasia
  • Skin irritation (dermocaustic) possible in pure form, dilution required.
