Lime
Often planted along avenues, the lime tree can be recognized by its heart-shaped leaves and small, soft yellow-green flowers accompanied by a wing-like bract. Blooms in June, giving off a delicious honey fragrance. Linden's properties have given rise to the almost universal ritual of the evening infusion. It is now used as a concentrated extract, particularly in fluid form. Woodland lime, or Tilia sylvestris, is the most popular species.
Lemon balm
Like Fragrant Verbena, Lemon Balm gives off a delicate lemony scent, due to its high citral content. This perennial plant, native to southern Europe, has a place in herb gardens, as its tender leaves pleasantly perfume salads and cold drinks. Lemon balm has long been renowned for its effect on sleep and the digestive system. Its virtues contribute to digestive comfort and help preserve sleep quality.
Verbena officinalis
Part used: the aerial flowering part.
Common in Europe, Verbena officinalis is a perennial plant 40 to 80 cm tall that grows along roadsides. Its quadrangular stem bears petiolate leaves with crenellated edges and small, lilac-colored flowers arranged in long terminal spikes. Used by the Gauls in particular, the infusion of Verbena officinalis was used to make lustral water and purify altars. It is also known as "sacred herb", "Venus herb" and "cure-all".
The plant contains iridoids, polyphenols and flavonoids. In traditional medicine, Verbena officinalis was recommended to treat certain states of fatigue or nervous, respiratory or digestive disorders. Recent studies tend to highlight its relaxing and sedative properties.

Our professional advice and the opinions of natural health experts
Find out more about psychophysiological insomnia:
This type of sleep disorder accounts for 15-20% of insomnia. It is insomnia that appears without any obvious cause. It generally follows insomnia with an identifiable cause: after surgery, the birth of a child, major psychological stress, a shift-work schedule...
There is a negative conditioning to insomnia, which translates into a paradoxical activation of the waking systems as soon as the person goes to bed. This results in fear of not sleeping, tension or anxiety at bedtime, spontaneous falling asleep when sleep is not sought (in front of the TV...), and the impossibility of taking a nap to recover.
Why do we need sleep?
Sleep is essential for brain development and maturity, and is also involved in learning. Restricting sleep to less than 5 hours a night results in major learning defects!
By regulating the production of hormones, it is involved in major metabolic functions. Studies have shown a link between reduced sleep time and obesity in both children and adults...
Sleep quality also influences immune response.
