What are Chronobiane LP 1 mg tablets used for?
Exhausted by sleepless nights staring at the ceiling? Tired all day because you've woken up 10 times during the night? Worried about going to bed and not getting any sleep?
Chronobiane LP is a melatonin-based dietary supplement that helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. It's ideal for people who have difficulty falling asleep, or who suffer from jet lag, and ensures a good quality of sleep.
What is melatonin?
Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland (also known as the epiphysis). Melatonin secretion is inhibited in the presence of light and stimulated when it's dark. By secreting melatonin, the pineal gland "tells" the brain that it's dark and a good time to sleep. Melatonin synthesis peaks between 2 and 4 a.m. and then decreases during the second half of the night in preparation for waking. In some individuals, this message no longer functions correctly, leading to difficulties in falling asleep or shifting sleep times. A deficiency is created, and it is then necessary to rebalance the intake in order to
- reduce the time taken to fall asleep in people who have difficulty falling asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime.
- alleviate the effects of jet lag (e.g. when traveling across several time zones). The beneficial effect is obtained by taking at least 0.5 mg of melatonin before bedtime on the first day of travel and for a few days after arrival.
Chronobiane LP 1 mg is not only a sleep aid, it's also a complete formula for your overall health. With 200% of the Nutrient Reference Value for Vitamin D3, it actively supports bone health and immunity. The presence of Vitamin E at 15% of the NRV helps protect cells against oxidative stress, an essential ally in the fight against daily aggressions.
Chronobiane LP's sustained-release technology ensures gradual absorption of magnesium, essential for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body, thus maintaining optimal muscle relaxation and stress management. This absorption method enables the product's benefits to be enjoyed over an extended period, promoting better sleep quality over the long term.
With 1 mg melatonin, Chronobiane LP 1 mg naturally regulates your circadian rhythm. Melatonin is known for its crucial role in sleep onset and sleep quality, and its presence in our formula ensures a smooth transition to night-time rest, without the disruptive effects of synthetic sleeping pills.

Our advice and expert opinions in pharmacy
Tips for better sleep:
- Go to bed and get up at the same time as regularly as possible: our bodies like to have little routines. This helps it to find a rhythm and stabilize. Any change in routine can be both energizing and disruptive to our internal clock.
- To sleep well, you need to sweat! Regular physical activity, whatever the time of day, but especially in the evening, helps to calm the body. Sport not only promotes sleep, but also improves physical and mental performance during the day. After a session of sport, the body is perfectly relaxed and ready for a good night's sleep.
- Eat light! Dinner is a trickier meal than you might think. You need to find the right balance between not eating too much to prevent sleep and still eating enough to avoid night-time hunger pangs. Eat slow sugars, which digest slowly throughout the night, avoid fats and alcohol, and eat at least 2 hours before bedtime.
- Avoid screens, which are exciters, and read instead. Half an hour before bedtime, switch off your screens and choose a novel!
- Drink an herbal tea: lime blossom, orange blossom, valerian, chamomile... there are so many choices to help you find a rapid, restorative sleep.
If, despite taking melatonin, you don't notice any improvement in your sleep, you may need to look further afield, to amino acids, in particular tryptophan, which is the metabolic precursor of serotonin, itself a precursor of melatonin. If there is a deficiency in this amino acid, despite melatonin supplementation, the message to the brain cannot get through. Tryptophan supplements are available, and we recommend a course of treatment.
